MotorX

This what we have been learning for a few weeks hope you enjoy!

Do you know why motorbikes have a disc brake? Well listen up mate because i’m here to tell you .The pros would actually love them for mountain descents since rim brakes heat up the brakes on a motorbike. This is how disc brakes work on  motorbikes.Hydraulic disc feature a closed system of hoses and reservoirs.Containing special hydraulic fluid to operate the brakes. When the lever is activated a plunger pushes the fluid through the hoses and into the caliper where pads are pushed onto the rotor stopping the bike. It’s mainly  like a bike and a car.Just different. Now i'm gonna tell you how disc brakes work?Bicycle brakes have a caliper, which squeezes the brake pads against the wheel. In a disc brake, the brake pads squeez the rotor instead of the wheel and the force is transmitted hydraulically instead of through a cable.Friction between the pads and the disc slows disc down.

I hope you have liked the information i have written i also hope you enjoyed reading my work.I will make another doc for you guys to read on my blog post.Again thank you for reading. So later guys.Thank you for listening.

  1. Hi Kaunteya, it's Mrs Pam. You have some great information about how disk brakes work. I like how you have shown the difference between bicycle brakes and disk brakes. Which do you think you would prefer to ride - a bicycle or a motor bike?

  2. Hey Kaunetya, awesome facts in here. The explanations seem really complicated! How long did it take you to figure it out?
